Equivalency
• An International Professional Designation approved by the board of Regents may be accepted as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
• Candidates who are unsure whether their educational achievements or professional designation qualify as equivalents should submit sufficient related educational/professional information with their application and include a cover letter requesting review by the Board of Regents.
• Work experience will not substitute for an appropriate degree.
• Applicants for equivalency may be registered for the exam pending review but should expect a separate letter regarding the outcome of the review.
• Applicants for equivalency should receive an equivalency status letter within four weeks of submission of the application. If the letter hasn’t been received in due time the candidate should contact the IIA immediately to verify their eligibility.
